UNA HORA, UN PASO

- Juan has been a prisoner in Egypt for 17 years -

Juan is Spanish and has been locked up in an Egyptian jail for 17 years. During that time, he has written two volumes of poetry, got married and had a daughter, all the while dreaming of returning to Spain in the near future. A team of reporters enters the prison to interview him, unaware that something terrible is about to happen.

Aitor Iturriza, Bernat Gual

Donostia / San Sebastian, 1989. Studied Audiovisual Communication at the Carlos III University in Madrid. In 2011 he made the medium-length film Las modelos del pintor de caras (2011) as his final-year project and studied film and documentary-making at the ESCAC film school. He has worked on approximately 20 short films as assistant director, screenwriter or director. In 2011 he also made the documentary Pilolu in India, as well as writing and directing Proyecto Pilolu, a documentary project that started in 2011 and will end in 2021.
